Coffee Design Awards Registration

Great coffee is often given
distinction via great design.

This awards program and display celebrates the most inspirational design in the industry. All entries will be published on design.sca.coffee – SCA’s platform for showcasing inspirational design within the coffee industry.

Terms & Conditions

Rules, Definitions, Guidelines & Best Practices

  • Vessels - Anything you drink or serve coffee from.
  • Spaces - Places for making, teaching, serving coffee.
  • Packaging - Bags, boxes, tins - looking beyond brand adherence.
  • Branding -  Logo, visual environment, stationery examples of application - beyond packaging.

Rules for Submissions and Judging

  • Entry must be new to the market no more than one year from show start date.
  • High-quality photos of each submission must be included - minimum 3MB. Entries for Packaging will be displayed via two 18" x 18" inches photos against a white wall with a title card indicating key details; entries for Branding and Spaces, via three 18" x 18" inches photos with a title card.
  • SCA reserves the right to reclassify or decline an entry.
  • Coffee Design Awards are at the discretion of independent judges and show management.
  • Judging will take place onsite at the show.
  • All entrants will be displayed at the CDA display on show site.
  • For entries into Packaging, applicants must ship a sample ahead of the show to be included in the exhibit and considered for judging.
  • Shipping details will be provided.
  • We strongly encourage the sample to include coffee and not be an empty bag as that will not look good on the display.
  • In the case of physical samples with Packaging, one to two items will be displayed on a shelf below the images.
  • Applicants should include as much information as possible about their submission.
  • Submissions must be received by 15th December 2026.

Takes the Spotlight.

The Best New Product competition and display recognizes new products judged on the quality of and value to the specialty coffee and tea industry. Award trophies are presented to the winners of exhibiting companies during the show. All entries will be published on New in Coffee platform for showcasing innovative, new products within the coffee industry.

Competition Categories & Definitions:

  • Coffee Accessories -  An item supplementary to coffee. For example, mugs, cups, lids, cleaning brushes, dump boxes, tampers, measuring items, etc.
  • Consumer Commercial Coffee Preparation and Serving Equipment. Any equipment used to prepare or serve coffee or tea in a non-commercial environment (e.g., grinders, brewers, espresso machines, roasters, thermal pots, and servers) in enhancing the quality of specialty coffee and tea beverages in the consumer marketplace.
  • Open Class.  Open to products that do not fit in any of the above entry categories and align with the current industry trends.
  • Commercial Coffee Preparation and Serving Equipment. Any equipment used to prepare or serve coffee or tea in a commercial environment. For example, grinders, brewers, espresso machines, roasters, thermal pots, and servers.

Rules for Submissions and Judging

  • Applicant must be an exhibitor in the Exhibit Hall to enter.
  • Entry can be debuted at show but must be available for sale to industry and be commercially available in that trade show’s market, same continent as the show, within six months.
  • Entries must be available in the exhibitor booth & have supporting data indicating the entry's intended use.
  • Best New Product awards are at the discretion of independent judges and show management.
  • Judging will take place onsite at the show.
  • Product must be new to the company and introduced into the marketplace no more than one year prior to the first day of the show.
  • Prototypes are not allowed.
  • SCA reserves the right to reclassify or decline an entry.
  • All entrants will be displayed at the Best New Product display on show site.
  • Submissions must be received by 15th December 2026 .
